Narrative structures

In today's lesson we learned about Genre which we already knew such as horror, thriller, comedy

We also learned about Narrative structures
This is such as

Linear which means that the film started from the begging until the end, Non- Linear means that the film started from a flashback or the ending or started in the middle.

Furthermore we also learned about realist which means that the films plot can happen in real life, such as murder, crime etc. anti - realist means that the plot in the film cant happen in real life such as aliens coming, vampires etc.

Another one is Open or closed this means that if the ending of the film was open its means it was on a cliff hanger if it was closed then that means the plot has finished.

Finally we learned about Multi strand and single strand, Multi strand means if the film is from more than one persons point of view and single strand means if its from one persons point of view.

We already knew this one but diagetic sound and non diagetic sound, diagetic means the sounds that the actors can hear and non diagetic means the sounds hat were added on after like sound effects .

These narrative structures will help me develop my film because i now have an understanding of all of these things and I will decide how I want my film to be, my film will include all of these narrative structures.
